As always we had a none stop line up of musical entertainment on the main stage in the Market Place. Led by our Compere Mr Paul Harper with his own inimitable style of music and humour the stage played hosts to acts from the 30s to the 60s.

Making their debuts this year we had Jonny Hick’s Jukejoint Allstars with their high tempo 50s style rock and roll/Americana

Also making their Vintage Day bow we had Cilla and the Beatles, covering all those tracks and tunes that our crowds know and love.

It wouldn’t be Vintage Day without Natasha Harper who this year added to her 40s repertoire with some swinging 60s tunes as Miss Cilla Black.

Returning for a second time the Honeybirds brought their wonderful close harmonies and tunes that had everyone singing along.

We were also delighted to be able to help showcase some very talented young local performers, with Acorn Youth Theatre, Harper School of Performing Arts Musical Theatre, and Dewsbury Dance Centre Musical Theatre Class all taking to the stage.

And then in the packed NAAFI tent and day long dance area Big George and the Andersons, and Major Swing and Kitty kept the records spinning and the dancers dancing all day long.
